Carlos graduated with honors from El Colegio de Mayagüez de la Universidad de Puerto Rico with an Electrical Engineering Degree. He worked at Raytheon Missile Systems as a rocket scientist.

He graduated with honors from The University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. He then worked as a Deputy Pima County Attorney. He also worked at a private law firm.

In 2006 he founded The CjB Office of Law. He is married and lives with his family in Tucson, Arizona. When he is not crushing it in the courtroom he is trying to break 90 on the golf course.
